MY BOOKS

Although she loves writing nonfiction books for children, Ann always dreamed of seeing her stories in print. Since the debut of her award-winning picture book, The Flores Family Cafe, Ann has written two more picture books, including her latest title, The Ballet Dress

Ann's many interests are reflected in her memoir about growing up in wartime England, a biography of friend and beloved artist Leo Politi, and two books exploring different aspects of World War II. She has also created workbooks and guides for teachers.

Ann has traveled around the world, weaving her observations and experiences into books featuring the crafts and customs from cultures at home and abroad. She has contributed many titles to the Crafts of the World and Countries in Colors series.
