This is the story of the Navajo Code Talkers and the part they played in the Pacific during World War II.
For 23 years following the war, the "talkers" unbroken code remained a secret. Not even their families were permitted to know the part they played in fighting the war. Now there is an increased urgency in telling the Code Talkers' story in a way that both young people and adults can understand and appreciate.
Although the facts are true, this is a fictionalized account of the Code Talkers. This inspiring story focuses for the most part on one man, but it is the experience of every code talker's dangers and triumphs. Recognition of their contribution has been a long time coming.
